I celebrated five years of sobriety on February 3, 2026. And in those five years, I learned something that nobody tells you when you stop drinking: the hardest part isn't the alcohol. It's the glass.
It's the moment at a dinner party when everyone raises one and you're holding sparkling water in a tumbler, trying to feel like you belong in the toast. It's the bachelorette weekend, the holiday table, the Tuesday night that turned into something worth celebrating — and nothing in your hand that felt worthy of the moment.
I looked everywhere. I tried everything. And I couldn't find a single mocktail that made me proud to raise a glass.
I'm Emily Susman. I am a chef, author, entrepreneur, and the founder of Navi Mocktails. I created Navi for every person who has ever stood at the edge of a celebration and felt like the drink in their hand didn't belong there. For the sober curious. The designated drivers. The ones navigating their own journey, quietly or loudly, and still wanting to be part of every beautiful moment along the way.
Navi takes its name from NA (non-alcoholic) and Vida, the Spanish word for life. Because that's exactly what this is. A full life. A beautiful glass. A toast that belongs to all of us.
Welcome to the Navi life. Every sip is yours.
